Read full description of the books:
So, the chick-lit romance bookbox landed on my doorstep, and of the twelve books in it, I had read three. Unfortunately there are none that I was absolutely dying to read, but I figured I'd read a few and replace a few and send it on in a few days. So this was the first. Like a number of British novels I've read recently, I am dismayed by the extent to which characters mess up their lives, partly because they're drunk. The main character here is also rather depressive, but makes a number of stupid mistakes and decisions, so it's rather surprising how well everything turns out in the end. This is not a great book, but it lets itself be read.
